Fingers Crossed!

Things may look a little odd round here for the next few hours (hopefully, rather than the next few days), as I’m upgrading my WordPress software to the latest release, to take advantage of one or two nifty new features. This will mean disabling my theme and removing my plugins while I do a full backup and then apply the update. So please bear with me while I make the changes.

If I’m not back up and running by Monday, please send help!

It was all relatively simple in the end – but how often does it work that way? The process is all carefully explained and once I’d done a full backup I was reasonably happy to go ahead and delete stuff from the webserver.

Looks like I’ll be doing it all again next week though 🙂

Good luck with it all! Making those sorts of changes can be a real pain in the neck, but worthwhile in the end. Hmmm… maybe I should be upgrading mine too! Will go and read all about it.
