High Hartsop Dodd

Cofa Pike

Cofa Pike

Route Description: Bridgend, Brothers Water, Hartsop Hall, High Hartsop Dodd, Little Hart Crag, Dove Crag, Hart Crag, Fairfield, Cofa Pike, Deepdale Hause, Deepdale, Bridgend.

Notes: Beautiful day, only slightly spoiled by the high winds. Biting cold on tops with -19C wind chill recorded.

I can feel my fitness waning as I walk less in the week and I found the final stretch through Deepdale to be quite tough.

The ascent of High Hartsop Dodd  is steep but the path is good. Making it a better route up than the one up Middle Dodd I took a couple of years ago.

One of the best walks for views all year, I had a great time.
