Lazy week

Well I’ve been a right lazy sod this week! I’ve been away from home all week on a training course and that’s enough to sap anyone’s motivation to do things in the evening, but combined with the rather knackering day I had last Sunday on the way up Scafell Pike and you have the recipe for a lazy week; reading and watching DVD’s in my room.

I promised myself, next time I’m in Slough (my company head office) all week, I’ll get out in the evening and bag a couple of the local county tops and trig points. Normally that motivation dies when I leave the office at 6pm and see the queue of traffic on the M4 or the M25 and I think “Oh bugger it! I’ll do it another time.” This time it dies before I left home. I left my boots and other paraphanalia at home and packed one or two extra DVD’s and an extra book for the evenings.

This weekend looks like a wash-out again, so I’ve decided to stay in, catch-up with the family and also catch-up with some of the Walking Places admin that needs doing. Special mentions here to Ash Heeley and Rambling Pete, both of whom are waiting for me to upload content for them – sorry guys!
