Follow John Hayes on the E4

Anyone who’s checked my Blogroll will have seen I’ve been following John Hayes for several months now – up until recently he’s been writing planning blogs for his E4 long distance walk. Last week however, he set off on his epic challenge – to be the first person anyone is aware of actually walking the whole length of the E4 in one go (or thru-hiking it as the American’s would say) – the whole route is several thousand kilometers!

He updates his blog every day – WiFi signal permitting on his iPad in the evening – and he’s walking completely unsupported, using lightweight principles.

I’m sure he’d appreciate a few more followers, so if you’re not already reading his progress, hop over and see how he’s getting on – he’s a week in now with about six months to go.

Long distance walker, trig-pointer, peak-bagger, guide book author & fair-weather cyclist, with a love of Skye, the Pennine Way, malt whisky, & Man City.
