364_fullWhat are the chances of two cracking January Saturday’s on the run? A hard frost welcomed us this morning as we stepped out of the car at Painswick and followed the path up to Haresfield Beacon. Quite a lot of woodland again today, which would be frustrating I think in the summer, but was fine at this time of year. Some pretty good views again, but more annoying pedantic loops to contend with – one of the worst so far on this section. My notes for the day read “Beautiful winter morning, biting cold, blue skies, very little wind except for the exposed section over Haresfield Beacon. Turning slightly muddy as the ground thawed but lovely woodland to walk through. What a cracking day!
