Walk Notes:
A blissfully quiet day with light wind on the tops but still very cold. It was sodden underfoot and very wet and muddy through Bowderdale, despite the mostly good path that runs up beside the beck. Cautley Spout was magnificent (probably because of the recent rain) and the path up beside it is a joy. I took the ridge route out to Hazelgill Knott and West Fell and this is clear and not as muddy as the valley below. I met only one person all day!
