By far and away the best walk of the year so far – with lovely weather from the outset and beautiful clear skies all day. Felt strong all day, despite some niggling pain from the left foot still. Superb views across to Great Gable in the Lakes, Ingleborough in the Dales and Cross Fell in the Pennines. Green seems to be finally returning to the hills and the Skylarks were out in force making me drag my feet towards the end of the walk to soak up the best of the day.
