A familiar walk for me – one I could do with my eyes shut or in the worst fog and mist. It doesn’t require any prep at all, which is why it’s so easy to do at short notice or when I just want to stretch my legs for a lone one.
First car on the roadside car park at Ridgegate Reservoir
New roadside path gives access to the lane now…..
And new gates and paths lead to the car park at Trentabank Reservoir too
Rather misty walk up to Shutlingsloe
No views from the summit today
Looking up Cumberland Brook from Clough House
Heading for the Cat & Fiddle – well signed around here isn’t it!
Shutlingsloe, now clear of mist and looking splendid – the BT tower on Sutton Common beyond it.
Looking along The Tors to Cats Tor
The unmistakable shape of Lamaload Reservoir
Lucky Angler landing his fish in Lamaload
Looking across Macc Forest to Shutlingsloe – looks like I started about 2 hours too early today
