Bowland Fells

The fells listed below are the officially recognised hills inside the boundary of the Bowland Fells Area of Outstanding Natural Beaty. This includes all hills listed in the Database of British & Irish Hills, but excludes any hill classified as 'Tump Only'. (TUMP = Thirty & Upward Metre Prominences)

Tumps have no minimum height requirement, so you do end up looking for insignificant bumps in the middle of towns and fields; not my idea of hill bagging I'm afraid. Hence the hill table (showing all hills) identifies a much greater number of hills than this table.
