Wanlockhead to Beattock

A walk of two halves. The first 10 miles or so being wonderful high moorland walking, despite the almost constant rain, zero visibility and often biting wind. I really enjoyed the walking until the descent from Beld Knowe, when the path turned to either quagmire or bog, constantly wading through streams on the path, negotiating fallen trees, cutting my shin as I fell didn't help my mood either! Not my favourite day so far.
