A mid-week walk to try and make up for the abortive effort at the weekend and to take advantage of fine weather. A new area for me, but with four trig points and Marilyn in an easy 10 mile walk it was a good choice. Lots of cotton grass and skylarks out and the wind (a breeze that didn't even threaten my Tilley) was sufficient to silent the huge wind turbines on the top. They didn't detract from the walk particularly, but it was galling to see them all silent and still while the wind was blowing - sort of begs the question. "What's the point?"
