Another walk using the Settle-Carlisle railway as a means of doing a linear walk. A repeat of a walk done a couple of years ago with just a couple of tweaks to make it very different. Some interesting new scenery on Widdale Fell and a different ascent of Blea Moor. Great day, albeit a little windy and chill on the tops, but sunny at times with grey cloud cover otherwise. Recent rain meant a sloppy crossing of Shaking Moss on Cowgill Head, but still an improvement on the Coal Road. A tedious finish, struggling against the flow of hundreds of 3 Peakers ascending Whernside - the ones I passed after the first hundred or so - I'm not miserable, I just got fed up of saying 'hello' all the time!
