A glorious summer day - too hot towards the end if anything, but an early start made sure I missed the worst of the heat and captured the best of the day. The highlights of today were the cotton grass (again) and the bird life on the walk between Buckden Pike and Naughtberry Hill. This mostly pathless traverse was only a bit boggy, but better done in the height of summer of after a long freeze. The ascent up Buckden Beck was a delight again and now my favourite route to this summit.
