Started raining shortly after leaving the car and poured down hard for an hour or so, cleared slowly during the morning to come clear and warm towards the end of the walk. So much water underfoot though, very wet and soggy everywhere and very slippery in places. Tarn Howes is a special place, albeit too close to a large car park and not seen at its best because of the poor light and lingering mist. Another good day all told.
