Bleaklow & Cock Hill

A bitterly cold day from the outset, getting colder as the day progressed. Took the lovely path up Doctor's Gate and had some sun once we climbed out of the valley, but that left us after Bleaklow. Recorded 40mph and -18C wind chill on Higher Shelf Stones. Snowed as we crossed to Cock Hill - horizontally and the duck boards across Harrop Moor were a killer, with Matt taking a big fall. The peat on Harrop Moor wasn't frozen and we both went knee deep in places. The new boots are excellent though and my feet were dry at the end. Great day out with great company.
