Easily one of the hottest days I've ever walked in. The tarmac was melting along Gaudy Lane as I approached Gayle. I'd used all my water by the time I approached Hawes and drank several pints of Diet Coke in the pub on arrival. Climbing Oughtershaw Road and Dodd Fell Hill was pretty tiring in the heat and decided to not walk tomorrow, which is due to b hotter, and its a really tough day in decent weather.
