Alston to Lintley Halt

A squelchy, horrible, mud fest along the worst section of the Pennine Way (IMHO). I needed to revisit this section after using the South Tyne Trail during my previous visit along this stretch. The STT is by far the better option, as the mud is ankle deep and there's lots of it as you cross fields and pastures along this stretch.
