A walk I should really have done when I did the Skye Trail in 2012 - a visit to the northern tip of the Trotternish peninsular and Skye itself. This is the third walk I did while staying on Skye with my brother. Starting at the decaying ruin of Duntulm Castle we followed a path around the coast line and climbing up to the viewpoint at the top of Meall Deas - giving wonderful views across to the Isle of Lewis and the snow-topped peaks there. We then took the steep, rocky path down to the tip of the peninsular, before returning by the same route. The weather, previously just windy and cold turned into hail and showers about half way back to the car, but still a great walk.
