Far from being hill fit, this walk, although hugely enjoyable in the company of Matt, was hard work for me. In the end we cut the intended distance short and found a great camp in Whitehorse Wood. Early mist and a short drizzly spell eventually turned warm and ended up being great weather for walking and the sheltered woodland camp was most enjoyable.
