A lovely sunny, late summer day (technically the first day of autumn) but the wind managed to keep the warmth down and made me keep my head down for most of the day. Very wet underfoot now and some sections of Cotherstone Moor were very wet indeed and I meandered a bit to avoid the worst spots. Nothing like as bad as Kinder Scout last week of course. The Bowes Loop is now complete and when I come to walk through here I can take the 'short cut' over Cotherstone Moor.
