A walk to camp at a spot I'd longed to visit; Sand Tarn on the slopes of Wild Boar Fell. Parked in Sedbergh and caught the bus to Kirkby Stephen station, from where I chose a route over a couple of low level hills and via a new trig point and a pub! Leaving my water filter at home meant a climb with 3 extra kgs of water, and then I found a lovely spring beside the tarn that would probably have served. The tarn is a lovely spot, wonderfully peaceful, despite being buzzed by a shepherd at dusk, who didn't investigate too close. Great evening spent enjoying the sunset and the calm. What a great spot!
