Cold on tops, no wind to speak of, clouding over towards the end. Great day out with Pete and his mate Steph, lots of gawping at the views, stopping and chatting, home-made Ginger Nuts at Blackbeck Tarn and ignorant walkers who refused to budge from the summit of Haystacks, even though we obviously wanted to record the ascent by taking photos of the summit cairn. All in all a great day and one of the slowest walks I've ever done - too much gassing and gawping!
