A really late start from Tan Hill as I only had 10 miles to do and couldn't arrive much before 4pm. The Sleightholme Bog Monster was not as bad as I expected, but my feet were still soaking within five minutes of leaving the road, it was Cotherstone Moor that was bad - the whole moor being almost completely water-logged. A brief respite at the shooting hut shelter beside Deepdale Beck was welcome
