A damn good job I wasn't up high today as wind was recorded at 112mph on Great Dun Fell! I still managed to record 40mph on the low level section into Alston - so wind was hard work even low down. I delayed and delayed until eventually I left after the most horrendous rain storm I've seen fro years, so still not been rained on, but feet wet within minutes of leaving today. South Tyne Trail selected over Pennine Way, will come back and do that in better weather.
