Back home

Well the op went well apparently. The consultant tells me that there was minimal damage to the knee and she only had to do a small amount of remedial work.

I was last on her list so spent the whole day waiting, sat on my own with an audiobook slowly getting hungrier and thirstier as people in nearby rooms were wheeled away and wheeled back and then fed – torture!

At one point someone came along and placed a reassuring arrow on my right shin, pointing to the correct knee.

I still feel a bit shitty but I had a general and that can affect you for 36 hours so I should feel better tomorrow.

No pictures of the knee until the bandage comes off tomorrow, but here’s one from “before”.
